Is Geomview “Not Knot” code available? I had it at one time.
I was the technical director of “Not Knot”. As far as I know (or remember), no Geomview code was used directly in making it. The credits list the software used. It includes Perl, Mathematica, Softimage, Renderman. You may be thinking of Maniview, an application built on the same visualization library as Geomview, specialized to explore the sorts of noneuclidean spaces featured in the movie. It may have been used to prototype some scenes of the movie (“Not Knot”, Geomview, and Maniview came out of the geometry center at the University of Minnesota in the early 90’s.)
